In the middle of a town full of concrete, we planted a garden and let four domes grow in it. Built by hand with local materials, lit to slow you down, and placed so that every step reminds you to be here, now.
Alma means soul in Spanish. Each dome carries that same word in another language — because wherever you come from, the quiet part of you is the part this place was built to give back.
We fell for the shape before we ever built one. Here is what makes sleeping in a geodesic dome different.
No corners, no edges: a round room feels calm in a way a box never does. That is why the circle became our symbol.
We took the geometry of the dome and built it with local wood, bamboo and stone, together with a friend who is an engineer — so it belongs to the island instead of sitting on top of it.
The glass panels frame the palms from your bed and your bath. You wake with the light and fall asleep under the canopy.
It feels like the mountains, but Kuta's beaches, restaurants and nightlife are five minutes away.

We are Ana and Alex. Eight years together, we came to Indonesia looking for a different life and ended up building one. Alma is our first project: years of work, every detail chosen by hand, and a piece of us in each dome.
